Reign for Change will be attending the 2026 Paw Prints on the Canal event. We will be present at the event to promote its mission, share Reign’s story, and advocate for preventing similar tragedies in the future.
The 2026 Paw Prints on the Canal will take place on Saturday, June 14, 2026 and begins at 11:00 AM and ends at 2:00 PM. The event will be located in the Regional Northampton EMS building located at 1525 Canal Street in Northampton.
Paw Print on the Canal first began as an annual event in 2009. The event benefits animal welfare and law enforcement. Specifically, the event is a fundraiser for the Northampton Borough Police Department K9 Unit. It brings together law enforcement, vendors, rescues, businesses, pet owners, and general public to celebrate the K9 unit. The event is the marquee event that helps fund and support the K9 unit. .
Paw Prints on the Canal features a wide variety of events and information sources for the general public. Animal shelters and rescues will be present to share their stories and educate on their efforts. Many pet vendors offering a wide variety of pet items will be present. Of course, what is an event without food and beverages? Food trucks, bake sales, ice cream sales and snacks will be plentiful.
Several animal services will be onsite as well, such as rabies and microchip clinics, dog training demos, and K9 unit demos.
Finally, expect some fun and good times. There will be contests and games, fundraising and raffles, music and entertainment.
Finally, are you thinking about adopting a pet? Well, this would be a great event to attend. There will be pet adoption booths and the opportunity to meet adoptable pets.
Events like the Paw Prints on the Canal are vital for spreading awareness and advancing dog safety initiatives. Any contribution, no matter the size, helps further the mission.
